The prevention of accidents and diseases of workers is a fundamental action within workplaces.

Legislation, also thanks to the EU intervention in this field, has consolidated important rules for the protection of psychological and physical health of the workers throughout the work process.

CGIL has promoted, together with operators and their organisations and with the support of experts, teachers and researchers, a multidisciplinary approach. In this respect experiences such as the Environment and Work Association (Associazione Ambiente e Lavoro) and, as for training Institute Environment Europe (Istituto Ambiente Europa) represent autonomous spaces for an open debate.

Moreover, CGIL CISL UIL support and promote the workers’ safety representatives network, through training courses based on a n agreement with the employers’ counterpart.
